Dental veneers are one of the simplest and quickest ways to a beautiful smile. These wafer-thin restorations can be placed on the front surface of teeth to mask a wide variety of aesthetic flaws.
Our practice can use veneers to treat gaps, chips, worn-down teeth and deep stain. Veneers allow us to mask these issues and provide an attractive and natural-looking smile. With their simplicity and excellent results, veneers are an ideal cosmetic treatment for many of our patients.
Birchwood Dental offers several types of veneers, each with its own advantages. We will provide a thorough examination and carefully consider your unique needs and desires before deciding on which are best for you. We offer the following:
This procedure usually takes a couple of visits. The first will be dedicated to removing a very small amount of enamel from the front of the tooth and getting a full impression (mold) of the tooth. This impression will then be sent to a lab where they will create your veneer out of a porcelain material. The next visit is when our dental professionals will bond the veneer to the tooth.
Composite veneers are similar to porcelain veneers, but they can be applied in only one visit. Rather than taking an impression of your teeth and sending it to a lab, our dental professionals can mold composite-resin material in the office, and apply it the very same day. Composite veneers also have the added benefit of removing less enamel than porcelain veneers.
E.MAX is the latest revolution in veneers. Its translucent properties make it the most natural-looking veneers on the market, giving your smile a truly authentic look. They’re made from a ceramic material that is thinner than traditional porcelain, while still maintaining the same level of strength. And since the material is thinner, the procedure requires less removal of your tooth’s enamel, and it can be applied in one visit.
